As the founder of Marathon Supermarket and former Managing Director of Herat Import & Export Inc., Shabir demonstrated his business acumen and ability to drive success. His commitment to the field led him to become the General Manager at Sharif Pharmacy in Afghanistan, where he played a pivotal role in transforming the pharmacy.

Achievements at Sharif Pharmacy

During his tenure at Sharif Pharmacy, Shabir led the expansion of the pharmacy from a modest 290 sq ft to an impressive 3550 sq ft. Under his leadership, the staff count grew from 4 to 35, and the revenue soared by 9 times over a remarkable 7-year period. Shabir’s strategic vision and dedication to excellence were instrumental in creating a thriving and customer-focused pharmacy environment.

Yumi holds both a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Geology from the Instituto Superior Minero-Metalúrgico de Moa in Cuba. She also completed postgraduate studies in Environmental Management and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Her strong academic background has shaped her analytical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail — all qualities that serve her well in the pharmacy setting.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Yumi’s multilingual abilities allow her to connect and communicate effectively with a wide range of patients, ensuring everyone feels understood and supported.
